If you are coming from within the city of Moorhead, the most direct in-town access route is:
- Head south on 8th Street (Highway 75), Moorhead
- Turn Right (west) onto 50th Avenue South
- Travel 1.2 miles west to the Trollwood entrance—you can’t miss us, the road ends at our parking area!
If you are coming from South Fargo: Head East on 52nd Avenue South in Fargo. Follow 52nd (sometimes referred to as the “convent road”) across the Red River into Minnesota. This same road is marked 60th Avenue South in Minnesota. Turn left (north) onto 3rd Street. Turn left (west) onto 50th Avenue South. Travel about a half mile to the Trollwood entrance—you can’t miss us, the road ends at our parking area!
If you are coming from East of Moorhead via I-94 West: Travel west on I-94, take Exit 1A/Moorhead. Turn left at the top of the offramp onto 8th Street/Highway 75. Head south on 8th Street/Hwy 75. Turn right (west) onto 50th Avenue South. Travel 1.2 miles west to the Trollwood entrance—you can’t miss us, the road deadends at our parking area!
If you are coming from West of Moorhead via I-94 East: Travel east on I-94, take Exit 1A/Moorhead. Turn right at the top of the offramp onto 8th Street/Highway 75. Head south on 8th Street/Hwy 75. Turn right (west) onto 50th Avenue South. Travel 1.2 miles west to the Trollwood entrance—you can’t miss us, the road ends at our parking area!
Imagine Amphitheater is an open-air setting, so prepare accordingly. The show will go on rain or shine, and refunds will not be offered in the event of inclement weather.
*Bluestem Center for the Arts does not allow lawn chairs or outside food or drink inside the amphitheater.
Smoking Policy: Bluestem Center for the Arts is dedicated to providing a healthy and comfortable environment for its employees and visitors. Therefore all building areas in the complex are smoke free. Smoking is not permitted in the amphitheater or within 20 feet of any building entrance with the exception of designated smoking areas.
Use of Bluestem Center for the Arts as a Commercial-For-Profit Photographic Site
Bluestem would be happy to provide its facilities for your next photo session. Bluestem Center for the Arts is a premier destination with several sites on campus that are well suited for use by commercial photographers for print, television, online media or commercial production, as long as the production reflects the basis of our mission. Our facilities can be made available by permit only.
1. Photo permit requests will be approved 2- 5 days prior to the requested date. Each session is scheduled separately and will not be approved during other scheduled events. In order to ensure a timely response to your request, please contact BCFA at least 7 days in advance of the requested dates.
2. There is a $35/hour permit fee; one photographer per permit.
Posed*/Commercial-For-Profit shoots are required to pay a site fee.
Why is there a fee to hold a shoot at Bluestem? Bluestem Center for the Arts receives no city money and is funded entirely by grants, donations, and sponsorships. Part of our revenue comes from rental fees charged to those who wish to use Bluestem’s facilities for their own profitable, promotional, or exclusive use. All site fees are used to maintain and improve the facilities.
